Halal Bihalal Keluarga Besar SD Negeri 2 Kendit

Halal Bihalal is a traditional Indonesian gathering that typically takes place after the Eid al-Fitr holiday. It's a time for Muslims to come together, ask for forgiveness from one another, reconcile any differences, and strengthen bonds of kinship and friendship. The term "halal bihalal" itself comes from Arabic, where "halal" means permissible or lawful, and "bihalal" is derived from the Arabic word "baḥāla," meaning to forgive or pardon.

During Halal Bihalal gatherings, people often visit each other's homes or attend community events. They greet each other with warm wishes, exchange forgiveness, and share meals and snacks. It's a joyful occasion where people express gratitude for having completed Ramadan and celebrate the festive spirit of Eid.

Halal Bihalal serves as a reminder of the importance of forgiveness, humility, and unity in Islam. It's not just a social gathering but also a spiritual one, emphasizing the values of compassion and reconciliation. In addition to strengthening family and community ties, it fosters a sense of belonging and solidarity among Muslims.

Our school SD Negeri 2 Kendit holds Halal Bihalal for all teachers and students when they first enter school after the Eid holidays.
Students take turns shaking hands with the teacher starting from grade 1 to grade 6.
